TheraLumen Photodynamic Red Light Therapy Watch

$300.00

TheraLumen™ is a wearable that emits dual red-light wavelengths in 30-minute sessions. Optimized for the most beneficial effects of photo red light therapy, promoting enhanced oxygen carrying capacity, lowered hypertension, reduced inflammation, improved immune system, favorable cellular metabolism, pain relief, and stronger mitochondrial function.

TheraLumen has redesigned their wearable, and it now ships with a rubber, Apple Watch–style adjustable silicone band. The original metal strap is no longer available.

The Red Light Therapy Watch is a wearable device designed to deliver dual red-light wavelengths during 30-minute sessions. It aims to initiate specific photophysical and photochemical reactions within the body's cells and tissues. This innovative band is a form of red light therapy, an approach that has been gaining significant recognition in the medical field.

Red light therapy, also known as low-level light therapy, has been a subject of extensive research since the early 1990s. Originally explored by NASA scientists investigating plant growth in space, they discovered the potential of red light in addressing muscle atrophy, delayed wound healing, and bone density issues. These initial findings paved the way for further research into the therapeutic benefits of red light.

How does the Red Light Therapy watch work?

The Red Light Therapy Watch utilizes a non-thermal process known as photobiomodulation (PBM). Light therapy typically involves the visible and near-infrared electromagnetic spectrum. Specifically, photobiomodulation therapy employs red and near-infrared light within the 600 to 1000 nm range.

The process of photobiomodulation involves photons penetrating the inner membrane of the mitochondrion and targeting the cytochrome C complex, a key chromophore in red light therapy. Chromophores are the components of molecules responsible for light absorption and color determination.

When cytochrome C absorbs red light photons, it stimulates the electron transport chain, leading to various photophysical and photochemical changes. These alterations have effects at both the cellular and tissue levels.

To avoid damaging the device, always use the charging cord and plug provided. Standard USB-C chargers may overpower the unit and risk burning out the internal electronics. James Clinic is not responsible for replacements or refunds if the device is damaged due to improper charging.

1. Charge the watch for approximately six hours before the first use.
2. Position the band over the radial and brachial arteries on the upper limbs, ensuring the flashing red LED lights face the inner wrist.
3. Let the band operate for 30 minutes before switching it off. While session durations can vary, 30 minutes is generally recommended for this band.
4. It is advised to have two 30-minute sessions daily for optimal results.

Combating Inflammation
✓ Helps combat chronic inflammation, potentially reducing health risks associated with conditions like Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome (AFS).
✓ Produces nitric oxide and regulates reactive oxygen species, key in cellular signaling pathways, to quicken cell signaling and reduce inflammation.
✓ Promotes vasodilation of small arteries and lymph vessels, allowing for the quick clearing of inflammation.
✓ Decreases pro-inflammatory cell response factors, offering potential in the management of health conditions with an inflammatory component.

Alleviating Pain:
✓ Potentially useful in relieving pain, particularly of neuromusculoskeletal origins, such as arthritis.
✓ Anti-inflammatory properties may help reduce chronic joint inflammation.
✓ Low-level laser therapy has been shown to reduce pain and inflammation in conditions like tendinitis and rheumatoid arthritis, typically requiring 8 to 30 sessions for significant relief.

Accelerating Wound Healing and Recovery:
✓ Promising in managing delayed wound healing due to its ability to combat inflammation.
Induces wound healing in situations with non-healing defects.
✓ Causes vasodilation of lymph vessels, improving lymphatic drainage and quickening the healing process.
✓ Useful for a variety of wounds, including lesions, burns, and wounds from amputation.
✓ Included in the warm-up routines and rehabilitation plans of professional athletes to prevent injuries and aid recovery.

• Restoring Cellular Function:
✓ Targets cytochrome C in the cell mitochondria, stimulating the electron chain and causing oxidative phosphorylation, thereby generating ATP.
✓ Increased ATP production leads to enhanced cellular metabolism and restoration of normal function in defective cells.
